Jon Earnshaw established Agecko in 2011 and continues to serve as Director alongside Sam McHugh and Natan Elfassy. Our head office is in Easingwold, a quaint market town near York. We work with an established network of partners to provide total sustainable waste disposal management nationwide.
Jon Earnshaw & Simon Taylor established Agecko, leveraging their extensive experience in waste equipment to meet the growing demand from clients seeking expert guidance in waste disposal. This initiative marked the beginning of Agecko’s commitment to providing specialised waste management solutions.
Agecko achieved ISO9001 and ISO14001 certifications, underscoring its dedication to quality management and environmental responsibility. We also implemented our first Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, streamlining operations and enhancing customer interactions.
Natan Elfassy joined the Agecko Team, bringing strategic sales expertise; Sara Millar onboarded with focus on customer service, H&S and Compliance, and now our Office Manager strengthening administrative operations within the business.
As Agecko’s customer base diversified further across various sectors, the team expanded to include a Head of Sales (Caroline), a Project Manager (Charlotte) and a Management Accountant (Sam McHugh) to oversee our finance and operations. This growth, along with our other sales and customer service-based team members has enabled Agecko to manage complex waste challenges and deliver tailored solutions to clients along with excellent service.
The COVID-19 pandemic hit the UK hard including Agecko and many of our customers. It was business as usual for many although, to see us through, we did have to furlough most of our wonderful team until such time as it was best for them to return to their posts. Agecko had to adapt and deepen our industry knowledge to enhance service offerings. In addition to this, Natan and Sam took up the reins as Directors alongside Jon, as Simon retired from the Agecko Team to concentrate on his own ventures.
In collaboration with IT partners, Agecko developed a bespoke system, tailored to the company’s unique needs. This system improved operational efficiency, customer service delivery and auditing.
Agecko developed software to automate Environmental Carbon Savings Reports, replacing manual KPI reporting. This advancement improved reporting due to using live data from our Customer’s Hub, ensuring accuracy, and reinforcing Agecko’s leadership in service quality and sustainability transparency.
A fresh approach for our branding, ensuring its brand remains consistent with a modern (yet subtle) representation that aligned closer to Agecko’s team culture of strong personalisation and green credentials… a full brand make-over for 2025.
Our mission
Our goal is to become partners with our clients and suppliers. We believe that this approach to waste management ensures that the best possible solution is implemented to minimise waste and maximise recycling percentages. Agecko focuses on problematic waste streams that are deemed unrecyclable and finds solutions to reuse or recycle them. We support the circular economy, believing that “one person’s waste is another person’s gain.”
